Clinical Social Work/TherapistLLMSWCHT (she, her)

Rachael
I believe that the therapeutic process is about co-creating a safe enough space to explore what is happening under the surface and to develop embodied compassion for ourselves in the process. I am committed to showing up to this work with curiosity, kindness, and presence to support you to be more spacious with yourself and your internal experiences. I bring an awareness of the impacts of systems (patriarchy, racism, transphobia, etc) on our bodies and minds. I support exploration of how systemic oppression and individual traumas and wounds overlap.

We work together to find compassion, curiosity, hope, and kindness. My orientation is grounded in a body-based (somatic) and mindfulness-centered approach. I also integrate an understanding of the nervous system and how trauma affects so many aspects of our lives, including our experiences of safety, trust, control, esteem and connection/intimacy. I am also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD.

It is hard to be a human and can be challenging to recognize that you are struggling and need some extra support. We all need extra support sometimes. My greatest commitment is to helping folks build a greater sense of self-compassion as we move through all of life’s ups and downs. Please reach out to see if we are a good fit to work together.
